At this grand event focusing on the actual needs of the disabled and gathering cutting-edge technological forces, the "Brain-Computer Interface Electric Bed" project independently developed by Renla Rehabilitation, with its breakthrough technological innovation and profound humanistic care, stood out from numerous excellent proposals and successfully entered the "2026 Wuhan City Science and Technology Assisting the Disabled Innovation Promotion Project".

This selection focused on nine core areas including rehabilitation assistive devices, brain-computer interfaces, and AI big data, aiming to discover high-quality scientific and technological achievements that can truly solve the pain points of disabled people's lives. For disabled patients with severe limb functional impairments caused by diseases such as stroke and spinal cord injury, long-term bed rest not only brings physical pain but also accompanies the loss of autonomy and the damage to dignity. Traditional electric beds mostly rely on remote controls or caregivers for operation, and patients themselves find it difficult to independently complete body position adjustments, which to some extent exacerbates their sense of powerlessness and reliance on care.

For severely disabled patients, the significance of being able to independently complete body position regulation goes far beyond the improvement of comfort. Regular body position changes are crucial for preventing pressure ulcers (bedsores), maintaining joint mobility, improving heart and lung function, and promoting blood circulation. The brain-computer interface electric bed enables patients to adjust their body positions at any time according to their own needs without the assistance of caregivers, which not only effectively reduces the risk of long-term bed rest complications but also psychologically reshapes patients' sense of control and dignity over their own lives.
